Under Singapore Space Challenge 2021, I along with the students of Kathmandu University, designed a lunar rover that is capable for lunar excavation. After meticulous research on the past rovers and the need of future lunar missions, we designed a fully functioning 3D model of a rover. The animation and modeling was done through Blender 2.91 and Adobe after effects CC 2018. The rover has rocker-bogie suspension mechanism to properly navigate on rough lunar surface, solar panels, radioactive thermoelectric generator, and excavator to excavate the surface. Its wheels were inspired by the wheels of Lunokhod rover.
